A child in the first grade that raised pigs at home, when I asked about the color of the pig, he said it was a Duroc just like his, drew this picture. Its name was “Digger”. I chose this picture because it came from the child’s hart and was personal. I loved that he shared that with me.
Not only did he verbalize by paper, he did it vocally. We want to the chidlren to share their ideas. We want them to feel comfortable in expressing themselves. This open up doors to a trusting relationship and the power for them to open their minds and explore many possibilites for their future.
